Wednesday at 4:55 p.m., Station 5 and surrounding Companies were alerted to a house fire on Chickahominy Road in Bushwood. Lieutenant 1 who was in the area arrived on the scene with working fire on the second floor. Chief 5 then arrived on scene and established command.

On March 29, 2026 Station 5 was alerted to a large outside fire on Collins Road in Avenue. Upon arrival Brush fire located two large areas burning and requested the assignment be upgraded. Units from Companies 5, 1 and 7 all operated at the scene.

Tuesday evening at 6:36 p.m. Station 5 and Station 2 were alerted to a vehicle fire threatening a structure on Manor Road in Chaptico. Safety 5A arrived on scene and located the same and requested brush units for the fire that spread into the woods. A short time later the garage became involved and the assignment was upgraded. Chief 5C arrived and established the command.
Saturday at 8:43 p.m. Station 5 and surrounding companies were alerted to Box Area 5-10 for a Non-Dwelling Structure fire on Joyce Street in Bushwood. Chief 5 arrived on scene and found a shed in the back yard well involved in fire. Engine 52 (Chief 5A) laid a supply line in from Whites Neck Road and extended a handline to the structure.
Early Friday morning Squad 5 was alerted to a structure fire on Harpers Corner Road in Mechanicsville. Company 2 units arrived to find a trailer with fire showing. Multiple crews from several companies operated at the scene. Squad 5 assisted at with opening up and completing overhaul. Water Supply 5 was placed in service.
Early Wednesday morning, Leonardtown and surrounding companies were alerted to a structure fire on Medleys Neck Road with possible subjects trapped. First arriving units located a single story home with smoke showing. One occupant met units outside and after speaking with them they determined no other occupants were inside.
