| Tuesday evening at 6:36 p.m. Station 5 and Station 2 were alerted to a vehicle fire threatening a structure on Manor Road in Chaptico. Safety 5A arrived on scene and located the same and requested brush units for the fire that spread into the woods. A short time later the garage became involved and the assignment was upgraded. Chief 5C arrived and established the command.
Engine 52 arrived and extended a line to the garage. Tanker 5 supplied Engine 52. The crew from Company 2 pulled an additional line and assisted with extinguishment of the fire. Once the fire was knocked down the assignment was scaled back to units from Company 5 and Company 2.
Units operated on the scene for approximately 90 minutes before returning to quarters. |
