On Monday at 1720 hours, Station 5, Squad 5, Squad 1, EMS 59, 19, 29 and ALS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Colton Point Road at Hurry Road. Initial reports were of a vehicle and tractor trailer with one overturned. Upon arrival Chief 5 located a pick up truck pulling a trailer and another truck involved. One vehicle was on its side. Captain 59 was already on scene and had requested a helicopter for one of the patients.

Squad 5 and Squad 1 secured the vehicles and assisted with patient care. No extrication was required. Ambulances 597, 598 and 299 all treated patients along with ALS. Engine 51 handled the landing site for Trooper 2 just past the accident scene. Two patients were flown from the scene by Trooper 2.

Once all patients were transported, command was terminated and all units were released. Squad 5 remained on the scene for a short time assisting the Sheriff's Office.
