Early Wednesday morning, Engine 5 was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Hurry Road in the area of Lacey Family Lane. Chief 5A and Engine 52 arrived and located a single vehicle off the road and fully involved. The vehicle was abandoned and no one was around. Engine 52 extinguished the fire and the Sheriff's Office and Fire Marshals Office were requested to investigate the incident. Engine 52 also extinguished a brush fire that extended in the woods around the vehicle. Once law enforcement arrived, the scene was turned over to them and Engine 52 returned to quarters.
