Crews Respond To House Fire In Longview Beach

On Thursday evening at 1837 hours, Engine 5, Tanker 5, Water Supply 5, Truck 1, Tanker 1, Engine 2, Tanker 2, Engine 7, Truck 7, Charles Squad 2, EMS Stations 59 and 19 were alerted to a structure fire at the corner of Pleasant Lane and Sandy Lane in Bushwood. In the early morning hours on Sunday, Station 5, Boat 5, Squad 5, Charles Boat 6 and EMS Station 59 were alerted to a subject in the water yelling for help off Bushwood Wharf. Chief 5 arrived on the scene and confirmed a subject was in the water yelling approximately 400 yards off shore. Boat 5 launched and the crew responded to the area. Raft Assists with Search in Leonardtown

On 8/1 and 8/2, Raft 5 was alerted to the area of the Breton Bay in Leonardtown to assist with the search for a subject seen in the water. Launching from Leonardtown Wharf on Wednesday and the Leonardtown Winery on Thursday , the raft was able to navigate the swift waters and conduct searches. No Caption Boat Stands By At Summer Regatta

7th District Volunteer's, July 29

On Sunday Boat 5 stood by at the annual summer boat regatta at Leonardtown Wharf. The event is held in Breton Bay just off the Wharf and features several classes of vintage race boats.

Tanker Responds on Leonardtown House Fire

Friday evening at approximately 2118 hours Company 5 was alerted for the tanker mutual aide to Leonardtown for a working house fire. Initial arriving units found a single story residence with fire showing from an attached garage. Company 5 Responds Mutual Aid for Barn Fire

Thursday night at 2206 hours, Company 5 was alerted mutual aid to Mechanicsville for the reported working barn fire off of Foley Mattingly Road in Helen. Engine 52 responded with 5 volunteers along with the Water Supply unit. Upon arrival units from Mechanicsville VFD located a large one and a half story barn, fully involved with fire.
